The Maneater - It's a local thing - page 1
“It depends on my mood, what I’m feeling,” Anyanwu says. “Designs can be artsy to just very plain. I get my ideas from looking at fabric and looking at objects and the kind of shapes I see.” Channing Kennedy, owner of Maude Vintage, describes the clothing line Ogemon as “pretty wearable. It isn’t something that you couldn’t feasibly wear on an everyday basis.” “They don’t do very much with just reworked clothes,” Kennedy says. “They make things from patterns they make themselves. With local designers, there are some who take existing clothes and add on, and there are some who make clothing completely from scratch, and Ogemon is that.”" Labels: press archives: August 2002 May 2003 August 2003 September 2003 March 2004 April 2004 June 2004 April 2005 June 2005 July 2005 November 2005 December 2005 March 2006 June 2006 September 2006 December 2006 January 2007 April 2007 June 2007 July 2007 December 2007 |
