I am in Nagoya now, waking up at 1 PM, sleeping well, reading old Relax magazines and ripping J pop cds with this wonderful software that is i-tune (how am I gonna survive without an I-book before the end of the year ? if you have any idea let me know).

first day in TYO...
‚h bought a nice digital camera and met monsieur Momus somewhere in Shibuya, hiding from his fans wearing a Kitty-chan mask.



His new album is looking good, quite sad maybe ? but I love the demos he gave me. I would love to do a remix of one of his new track called 'Beowulf (I'm deformed)'.


And I started my record shopping :)
The first UNKLE EP released here with Nigo, the original Stardust single (ahahah), and many interesting things.

It`s 9 AM in Tokyo and I am already in an internet cafe, checking mails and updating my website.... as you may have noticied, the Works and reworks page on my website doesnt work for the moment, but all the tracks can be downloaded here in high quality real audio format.
So how`s life in Tokyo ? I am staying somewhere near Kouenji, a place full of interesting used records shops, patchinkos, and sexy soap land. Nice.
The weather is hot and wet, and when we landed at Narita it was impossible to see any landscape.
Plans for today: calling people, meeting Momus, finding a cheap digital camera.
On verra si j`arrive a faire tout ca aujourd`hui :)

Et voila, il est plus d'une heure du matin a Paris et je suis en train de finir les dernieres choses a faire avant de partir...
j'ai passe la plus grande partie du week end a travailler sur un re-edit de Fantastic Plastic Machine que je veux donner a Tanaka-san quand on se verra au mois d'octobre (il m'a invite a sa soiree Grand Tourisme a Yellow). Au debut je voulais vraiment faire un mix a la Digiki, i.e. un truc vraiment deconstruit et bourre d'idees :) mais bon voila le resultat, un modeste edit destine aux clubs :)
comme d'habitude entre ce que j'imaginais et ce que j'ai fini par faire, c'est vraiment le jour et la nuit :)
sinon j'ai passe un peu de temps a retravailler mon track que je veux faire avec Gilles (Toog) qui devrait s'appeler 'One last start' enfin on verra...
Et puis j'ai enfin fait mon remix de Bjork !! (unofficial of course) que je voulais faire depusi environ un an ! ca n'a, une fois de plus, rien a voir avec ce que je voulais faire a l'origine, mais je suis plutot content je crois... ca s'appelle 'Hidden place ('hide the beast seek the beat' mix)'. bon c'est pas tout ca mais je suis fatigue moi !
NP: Hi Posi (en ce moment j'ecoute que des trucs qui trainent dans ma chambre, vu que j'ai vraiment demenage un maximum de choses, je redecouvre des vieux disques)

Here we are, it's already 1 AM + in Paris, and I am finishing the last things to do before leaving tomorrow...
I spent most of the week end working on a re-edit of a Fantastic Plastic Machine track I want to give to Tanaka-san when I meet him next month (he invited me to his party Grand Tourisme at Yellow in Tokyo). In the beginning, I really wanted to try a Digiki treatment on this track, the whole "deconstrukted track full of ideas" thing, but I ended up with this basic club edit... as usual, between what I expected and the final result there is a BIG gap ^^
I also spent some time on a track I want to do with Toog on vocals, called 'One last start', we'll see...
And I've finally done my remix of Hidden place by Bjork !! of course it is completely unofficial, but I quite like the result (as usual, very different from my original idea).
I'm TIRED !! need to sleep... Hi Posi is playing in the background, old cds have been reapparing lately...

I'll post my 'dream list of things I want to remix one day' if I got the time :))
