last week:

- question: where are my Lupin the Third DVDs coming from Hong Kong ?? A-YA-KU KUDASAIIIIII !!!

- say 'no' to a fashion designer to try clothes for a defilé (let's use the french word!) because...
1. I'm not that cute. come on be serious !
2. this is not a major show / I am sure the music is going to suck
3. I am afraid of people :))) na, maybe I am simply busy !
4. the clothes are.... ugly. this is an option !

- I wanted to post this for a looong time, check here for pictures of the Girlie party in Tokyo last september (yes, I am THAT slow to sort things out !).

- I received a nice piece of hardware: a Korg KP 2 Kaoss Pad !! yeah !! let's digitally scratch all this crap !


- I spend my days listening to electo glitch things (the 'improvised music from japan' 10 cd set is very interesting) Beach Boys (the otaku way: pet sounds complete sessions, studying the differences between the mono and the stereo mixes. I am going cray I know :) La Planete Sauvage original soundtracks (it's like being on vacation from the usual Planet of the (B)Ape sounds ! :)) which is exactly what Air are doing now, but recorded in...1973 :)))

what else ? the Aphex Twin remixes compilation is nice, brings back good memories (ahhh the Bowie vs. Glass vs. Eno vs. AFX mix !! the Wagon Christ remix !! classics ! )

**the so boring talk about digiki's album part 57**
Today: 'hey look, I am desperate !'

1. this is going to be a sad album, about my inability to get out of my head the sounds I'm hearing.
2. it's going to be short, it's desperate, and it will be my first and last original work. lol :))

it's a fucked up record, because it tries (and fails) to mix too many things maybe, half pop / half experimental...
I know I will be the first one to write here that I hate this record, but I know that in the end I will be happy :)

3. I know the title. It's an obvious one :) but I won't tell (yet).
4. new recent tracks(mistakes):
- furniture clicks (short; girl whispering on pseudo glitch)
- ignore the white stripes (title idea comes from Momus: thanks Nick :) now I have to admit I love Dymaxion; nothing to do with a rock band btw)
- all monsters (sad, desperate track, maybe with vocals, end of album)

and as usual i have been recycling old ideas and sounds :)

it's so fucking pretentious to record an 'album' when all you know is how to use audio loops.

This week, I am recording the new 'single' (now, THAT's pretentious !) of Monsieur Darsh. 2 days of hard work (and hard drinking too), we have many ideas to try and it's going to be super fun !!

cool evening at home, playing Mario World (Super Famicom classic) on a Game Boy Advance, while listening to some Chico Buarque records.
now, that's what I call a relaxing evening !
mmmmaybe I should be doing music ? who cares ! I will record 8 silly tracks with no melodies just before going to Japan and say 'ok this is my album' :)) the digikilazy way ! :)

On wednesday I met DAT Politics at home (funny to have them here) where Momus did an interview of them. Great discussion about music, design etc as expected !

After the interview, i went to a cool Toog performance at club Pulp (a very famous lesbian club in Paris, but also with great electro parties). the sound was SO bad, but it was nice to see the usual friends (Shinsei, Kumi from Crazy Curl etc). After Toog some laptopists were playing, but I chose to return home to bid on used Powerbook Titanium :)))

Yesterday I was supposed to go to Noriko Tujiko (kawaii girl /cute bjorkish? vocals on laptop sounds) with Momus but... I am busy working.
We spent the night with Emmanuel (who is doing some photo work for the album) doing silly (let's dare: trashy ?^^) pictures of me in various situations.


At 3 AM I am tired !



My cat Rasta likes Metro Area. Maybe the next playlist will be selected by her ?


I am buying new hardware soon. I can't believe the prices on Yahoo ! Auctions japan.

DVD recommandation for the week: Scratch, an impressive documentary on the art of turntablism. and a very funny one too ! I am happy to watch it again, and there are tons of bonus !
