...and they are in TYO right now :)
funny to read the contents of the new OK Fred issue here with the official worldwide cool kids: usual suspects include DAT Pols, Chicks on $p**d, Active susp gang etc etc I wonder who will be the next cool kid? where will she/he be from ? Canada ? a Berlin suburb? Hawaii ? India ? I don't know, but checkin' cool modern magazines such as OKF is a good way to find out. Maybe it will be my neighbor?

Quoting a comment made on the InfiniteLoop Apple mailing list:
Email is a specific communications tool. HTML formatting for email is a way to prettify your email which fails in two extremely specific regards: Not every email client will support this formatting, so that there's a good possibility your recipient will not be able to see your underscores but rather just plain text; and it adds substantial extra download time to every email you send that way, for which not everyone will be able to read it. Because email clients are extremely personal in a way a browser is not. Telling people to upgrade because their email client doesn't support a feature which adds massive bloat to emails using it and which not incidentally is a common way to send out spam is ludicrous. If you told me to upgrade my email client because it didn't support HTML mail, I would laugh in your face. Saying that HTML email is a standard for the future strikes me as funny because I don't know that it is. It's just a concession to 1998 and 12-year-old girls who want to use Comic Sans in their email.
I got to agree on that. I like the 'Comic sans' reference ;)) I hate this font !!

the active suspension kids strike back with an impressive 20 minute track, full of guitars / development / piano / vocal at the end.

jay z - encores
we do share something Jay and me, we both plan to quit music soon !
got to follow you on that one, Zee ! ;)

outkast - speakerboxx / the love below
album of the year ? Hey ya !!
"It's great, it should be number one across the world"
Thom Yorke, 11/2003
polaris vs. masakatsu takagi - lemon (re-home)
this is genius (too). the kitchen break in the middle of the track is so cool !

momus and anne laplantine - spin thread annie
one of the best Momus track ever, you can quote me on that.
it's 'acoustica' ie, post electronic music going back to 'real' instruments and vocals as an instruments. what made this ? amazing.

missy elliot - wake up
"this is not a test"...and sure it's not.

radiohead - skttrbrain (four tet rmx)
great remix with an impressive drum&beat work.
vraiment tres bien.

I know I'm not supposed to listen to this yet but...
The first thing that comes to mind while listening to an unfinished copy of the Momus and Anne Laplantine upcoming collaboration Summerisle is: beautiful. It's not 'good', it's not 'great', it's not 'interesting', it's just beautiful. The way sounds are mixed, the acoustic feeling, the vocals... waoo. Impressive. Spin Thread Annie (which you can hear on the Momus radio) is maybe one of the most beautiful Momus song ever: it's perfect, and SO different from anything he has ever done before... An important release to watch for in 2004.
I'm so happy that Momus and Toog are doing such different albums for 2004... I can't wait to hear the Robert and Midori collaboration too ! It's all about working with other people I guess.

Even if Zatoichi is not the best Takeshi Kitano movie (and smells far too commercial !!) it looks great, but Matrix Revolutions....
Reloaded was already so-so, but this one.... what a waste!
it's maybe the worst thing I've seen on screen this year. It's really that bad.
Can't wait for Kill Bill !!

Great 55 minute radio show with Momus and Anne Laplantine.
I would love to do more things with Momus in the future. I don't know, another tour (with Toog !!), a radio show, a collaboration, whatever. Don't think it will happen, but who knows.

I got to agree with Jay Z on his new single. Better change clothes and go, time for a change. Lovely Pharrel on the chorus, love it.

Sorry guys. I think I don't have many interesting things to tell (and my english is BAD), so maybe it's better to give it up ?
Everybody loves frenshwomen.

Nick (Berlin)
If you have any suggestions please feel free to teach me :)
I will return when I have something interesting to say. I can't see it happening any time soon, so bye bye ! Links only.
