Makes you want to feel like a teenager, then you think again
Saturday, December 9th, 2006Kansai was great. How could Kansai disappoint anyway ? I have always loved Kansai, I even use to prefer Osaka over Tokyo. Things are different… people are different, the city is different, the pace is different. I realize now I couldn’t live anywhere else in Japan but Tokyo, I need the energy, the too much too fast too many options of Tokyo. But I love to return to Osaka. And Kyoto of course. Kyoto is so unique. Having nabe party at OK Fred Yusuke right in the center of Kyoto was the closest thing to being in Europe I have experienced so far. I could live there, I would love to ride my bicycle to club Metro (maybe to see OOIOO and Deerhoof in December ?) or to all those tiny cute cafes.
Now Olivier is back to Paris and I’m here in Tokyo but I think we really had a great time in Osaka and Kyoto (and Nara too). Thank you Eri, Marie, Midori, Tetsuya, Yusuke, Karl and all. I’m looking forward to do more in Kansai in the coming months. 2007, here we come.
A picture is worth a thousand words, you know how it goes… this was our week in Kansai
