Hello there !

My name is Antonin “LV” Gaultier (aka Digiki). I was born in Paris, France but I am now living in Tokyo.

I always find it quite hard to sum up what I’m doing, so very simply:

my two main activities are finding ideas and creating music. I have no plans to choose between one or the other, and I think that’s what makes things interesting.

I am a freelance consultant for companies in Tokyo. My speciality is marketing strategy and branding, and I usually work at a top management / CEO level, trying to figure out what the next big thing is and how to get there. I work on a per-project basis, so my clients have been very different (from industrial products to B2B services to consumer goods). It’s always a different problem with specific solutions.

Other than being a marketing terrorist I’ve been doing music for the past 6 years under the name Digiki. I am playing what some have called a blend of pop and experimentalism, but you’ll be the judge, give it a try. My new album is called Beat vacation, and will be release in April 2007 on Tokyo Fun Party, a new label where I’m acting as A&R. I’m also producing music for others and I select beats & pieces for my podcast, Polypunk. Subscribe ! My monthly party in Tokyo is Juliana, 7-11 p.m. on Sundays at Soft, in Shibuya.

A few things I believe:

context matters
presentation/design matters
everybody makes mistake at some point
interactions and relationships are super important
marketing is a toolbox, not a philosophy
we keep learning everyday

I try to keep my eyes open on many topics, from cooking to VC, usability to entrepreneurship, art, fashion… everything really. I’m open to consulting offers and new ventures, business and/or art projects taking place in any region or online. Don’t be shy, I try to answer all e-mails.
